Description :

  • Develop an external audit and internal inspection program to monitor and make recommendation on the HSSE aspects of the project.
  • Carry out periodic HSE and Security inspections of each major work barge at least quarterly.
  • Attend external safety audits of the major work barges as required.
  • Alternate arrangements may be delegated on the HSE Manager’s behalf.
  • Coordinate all marine operations health and medical requirements accordingly.
  • Review tenders and provide input for procedures, plans and costs associated with the safety requirements of the tender and submission. 
  • Monitor development and progression of HSSE and vocational training requirement matrix for all employee positions assigned. 
  • Assist in the development and coordination of training programs as required to support the training requirements of the division.
  • Assist in the development of HSE plans and procedures for the assigned projects.
  • Responsible in incident reporting and investigation for the assigned project with timely reporting to project manager and Corporate HSSE.
  • Initiate, monitor and report on the progress of audit and inspection corrective actions for the major work barges.
  • Coordinate timely and adequate reporting of all injuries, near misses, incidents, property and/or environmental damage.
  • Report periodic HSSE statistics in the required formats, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Specify and assist in the procurements of HSSE related equipment for special and non-reoccurring purchases. 
  • Keep appraised of legislative and industry requirements which may have an impact on Offshore Operations.
  • Attend meetings with clients as required to support project objectives. 
  • Attend monthly Division Management Committee and Regional Weekly Operation Meetings. 
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Project Manager(s) and/ or Project VP.

Requirements :

  • In depth knowledge of the Oil and Gas business especially related to health, safety and environmental issues.
