Role purpose:

Support and provide engineering expertise for process cope of work including conceptual and basic design until detailed engineering. To support engineering design team as to make sure overall project will achieve CAPAX and OPEX optimization as well as to make sure process system design equipment to be design, procure, install, testing, commissioning and operate as per oil and gas rule and regulation, client standard, comply safety requirement and meeting operational application.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Development of PFD and P&ID to give overall process plant design.
• Process or utilities equipment or line sizing to ensure accuracy and to optimize the design.
• Developments of process simulation to determine accuracy and to optimize the design.
• Provide process equipment datasheet for quotation inquiry.
• Review process related item from vendor proposals to ensure requirements or specifications required are met.
• Provide related reports to support technical evaluation.
• Prepare Cause and Effect Matrix and Control Narrative for the programming of the CSS.
• Support or carryout studies including AIV, noise, Thermal Plume, Surge, Gas Dispersion, Material Selection, Flow Assurance and other safety studies.
• Attend engineering workshop including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL.
• Liaises with other department to ensure overall plant integrity, including layout, pipe routing, ESD system.
• Prepare bid documents that is process related.

Requirements :

Qualification Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Registered with BEM
• 3 to 5 years experienced in oil and gas industry or petrochemical industry with at least 2 years in design
• Offshore experiences would be advantages

Skills and Knowledge

• Able to operate process design software e.g: HYSYS, Flare Net, etc
• Computer literacy (Words, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCAD)
• Should possess knowledge of Process Engineering codes and standards in the Oil and Gas industry
• Able to work independently
• Self-motivation & have a positive working attitude
• Work well under supervision and team player
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability
• Good problem solving
