Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Review proposal specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
• Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man hour figures
• Estimate BOQ for Civil Work (Sub-Soil & Superstructure)of Transmission Line or Substation projects
• Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work; costing of Construction Work/ Services
• Prepare Master Estimation Spread Sheet (Excel), Sub-Estimation Spread Sheet for material, services, logistics etc., relating to Construction/ EPC Projects
• Investigate value engineering options
• Review terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serve as a liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process, and work out realistic cost
• Review all Costing (for materials, services and labors) with supervisors
• Establish Pricing with Upper level of Management
• Use historical unit price and productivity data Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers
• Investigate site before bid, identifying waste area, borrow area and dump sites
• Provide technical support to personnel preparing estimates for assigned bids
