Description :

Technical/Operational (70%)

• Responsible for tactical management of Manufacturing logistics in Penang and related initiatives / projects by ensuring that projects are delivered to scope, on time and on budget
• SAP workflow modelling and report management
• Design and lead models for use in evaluating logistics and business processes to include internal and external (3PL) warehouse operations
• Develop project plans: scope, requirements, schedules, communication plans, risk logs, and any other project documents
• Develop standard operating procedures and ensure stakeholders are informed and trained.  Include sustaining processes
• Efficiently facilitate project meetings to manage action items and ensure the project stays on schedule
• Effectively collaborate with stakeholders across regions and corporate for Manufacturing Logistics initiatives and programs
• Response to request for Logistics RFQs and subcontractor services
• Develop technical documentation including work instructions where applicable
• Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

People Management (30%)

• Direct and supervise the day-to-day work & projects of 3PL operations
• Manage competency & manpower resources within team to fulfill the need among different customers.
• Responsible for the annual Performance Management & Development exercise of his/her direct reports, if any.
• Responsible for the training and development of his/her direct reports, if any
• Develop and mentor high-potential personnel to continuously build a stronger team as well as provide opportunities for qualified internal personnel

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Graduate degree preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in transportation, supply chain, planning, logistics operations or other logistics related functions
• Warehousing to support manufacturing experience a significant plus
• Excellent knowledge of logistics program management including previous experience working with supply chain and a thorough understanding of best practices.
• SAP knowledge required
• Highly competent communicator who can successfully interact with cross functional teams, sponsors, management and business partners
• Proven ability to identify project objectives and project approach to achieve business needs
• Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint
• Some travel will be required
