Be involved in the networking of open source communities in the public cloud environment and perform research for interesting technologies, monitor and influence their development;
Actively participate in relevant events through involvement in design sessions, following learning programmes and the representing the company through contributions;
Evaluation of the technologies in terms of maturity and usability in the Open Telecom Cloud and the design of a first architecture for a possible integration including identification of potential difficulties as well as the preparation of an initial assessment of the costs;
Group-internal networking to all technology topics in the areas of public cloud, open source and security;
Making comparisons of Telekom Cloud with other public clouds in terms of performance, usability, quality, features, interoperability;
Personal participation in technical discussions with architects of particularly important customers and mediation of our architecture as experts;
Preparation in the creation of materials for lectures and decision-making materials for management on the technologies and providing recommendations;
Correspondence and communication is in English.
Requirements :
Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, a technical, engineering or natural sciences subject or a comparable vocational training with many years of professional experience;
At least 7-15 years professional experience in the ICT area, typically in the field of cloud technology or excellent network with relevant OpenSource communities and a few years of experience in OpenSource projects;
Exceptional expert knowledge of the architecture software;
Extensive knowledge of system technologies (Linux, Xen / KVM, Linux Network and Storage, Systemtools) and OpenSource Cloud and Container Technologies;
Comprehensive experience with software-defined storage or networking
Specific and extensive expert knowledge of operational requirements (monitoring, configuration management, safety concepts, quality assurance) including the automation of operational procedures as a prerequisite for an agile model;
In-depth knowledge and experience in the creation of a proof-of-concept with the help of necessary scripting languages and other tools to test the concepts in practice;
Very good cross-divisional and corporate contact (e.g. within the scope of group projects) internal & external;
Strong ability to assess technical solutions and make necessary decisions through these solutions;
Structured and independent work with high flexibility and creativity;
High degree of analytical skills and networking intelligence, coupled with strong service and customer focused;
Excellent presentation, communication and moderation skills, experience in addressing appropriate processes of complex and technological issues;
High degree of self-employment, organizational and enforcement abilities;
