Description :

Ensure the delivery of a high quality and stable operation of Data Center Services operated in

insourcing or outsourcing mode to AA global entities and Group IT internal stakeholders which is based on the defined ITSM processes, Information Security guidelines and project management processes of AA IT.

Manage, participate and lead projects in the area of Data Center Services from the Pre-phase until Project Closure with Move to Operations, including all necessary documentations and reporting, communication involved.

Service Manager for defined Data Center Services which cover the complete Service Lifecycle according to the ITIL framework.

Act as a collaboration partner with other IT functions to support the develop of solutions and support the architect(s) for new business opportunities and proposals in the Data Center Services area.

Data Center Services include but are not limited to: Servers, Storage, Databases, Middleware, Facilities (shared with Facility Management & external DC providers) including all technologies related to Cloud Services and the different Services like SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. Those services are provided out of regional data centers, cloud datacenters and AA locations around the world.

The prime stakeholders are any member in the IT Organisation of AA, defined partner and providers and other people in AA during change activities and project work.

Requirements :

Service Manager:

  • Manager of Cloud services provide by 3rd party to AA (like but not limited to Microsoft Azure) covering all aspects of the ITIL framework
  • Manager of Backup services covering all aspects of the ITIL framework considering Business & Industrial needs using state of the art solutions (CommVault. Cloud Backups,..)
  • Manager of defined additional Data Center Services covering all aspects of the ITIL framework implemented in AA.

Service Operation (but not limited to):

  • Continuously ensure that incident, break fixes, IMAC and service requests raised by the stakeholders / business for the services are quickly resolved and traced and tracked.
  • At least once per week review and analyse the status of the logged incidents to improve resolution times.
  • Ensure required capacity is provided and reduce the amount of over capacity to reasonable level
  • Ensure all related questions and issues that are related to these services are supported and identify and resolve structural issues in the Data Center operation and improve them via the problem management process.
  • Report issues, risk, escalations of the services and required decisions weekly.
  • Ensure KPIs and SLAs are defined for the services and reported on regular base
  • Ensure a complete and professional documentation for Workplace Services.

Service Support:

  • Monitoring and measurement of the availability, quality, and performance of the Data Center Services.
  • Ensuring that the services are properly monitored, configured, and maintained per industry standards and best practices. (best of breed)
  • Provide support, guidance, and mentor colleagues to ensure development of consultative and technical skills to maintain a high-performance support delivery by the Data Center Services team

Project Management:

  • Manage and control Data Center Services projects according to the defined processes.
  • Provide project management skills as well as subject matter expertise including required sourcing measurements into projects.
  • Actively stay informed about the status of running projects impacting the services in Data Center Services
  • Manage Data Center projects from the Project-Pre-Phase until Project Closure, including reporting, cost tracking and communication
  • Participate in projects driven by other business units or IT

Service Lifecycle:

  • Plan and manage the IT Service Life Cycle for the above listed IT Services and continuously improve the these with a special focus on the streamlining, simplification and harmonization of the IT services and strategy and total Workplace landscape. 
  • Contribute and take over defined accountability to the continuous update of the IT Service roadmaps including close alignment with Data Center Services
  • Support the IT Architects

Supplier / Partner Management:

  • Manage suppliers on an operational level to continuously improve the services, ensure that SLA/SLA are met and to ensure that providers deliver the scope and the quality defined in the contracts for above services.

Compliancy:

  • Ensure the compliance of the Services according to AA regulations (ITSM / ISO / Information Security)
